This Quarter

As you all know, 20% of every purchase will be donated to a ministry, missionary, or family of our choice each quarter. We come to this decision by taking time for prayer and by hearing from other people about ministries, missionaries, or families that might be in need of some financial help. We are always open to suggestions from our amazing customers, so feel free to send us any suggestions!
This fall we are so excited to be supporting the work of a West Michigan-based missionary, Chris French, and his mission work in Japan. Chris leaves this September to Japan, one of the darkest, toughest mission fields in the world. There, he will be working with YWAM (Youth With a Mission) to reach this seemingly impossible people group where only 2% of the population follow the Lord.
Jesus tells us that it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for the rich to enter the Kingdom of God (Matt 19:24). At the time Jesus said this, modern sewing needles hadn't been invented yet; this phrase actually refers to a small gate, one where a camel would have to take off anything it was carrying and stoop to its knees to pass through. It's entirely possible, but requires deep humility. One cannot hold on to the things they've carried before in their own strength, and one must humble themselves to realize that we, in fact, NEED Jesus, not the other way around. This is extremely difficult for people in many wealthy nations to understand, especially in uniquely Eastern- and Western-influenced cultures like Japan. Please join us in praying for Chris and the YWAM mission to show the love of Jesus and saving work of the Cross to the Japanese, and consider supporting financially either through a Made New Coffee Co. purchase, or via direct donation. Chris' fundraising page will be listed below if you'd like to learn more about his story and passion, or to donate directly to his page. We pray that Jesus' love shines bright through Chris in a dark world hungry and desperate for the Gospel!
